About the Abandoned Project
If a text-based RPG and a "Choose Your Own Adventure Book" got together and had a kid, the result would be this Abandoned Project. The synopsis is this: You are a person who stumbles upon an old abandoned building, and decides to go explore it.
In the Abandoned Project, you wander around and read the area descriptions that people before you have created. There are three types of areas: rooms, hallways, and stairwells. You may wander North, South, East, and West. You may also go up and down stairwells. Frequently, you will come to a dead end. You may either retrace your steps, or if you're feeling particularly creative, you may decide to create your own areas for others to explore. There is no limit to the number of rooms or floors that may be created.
As you wander around, you can vote on whether you think area descriptions are exceptional (and should be kept) or are sub-par (and should therefore be replaced). If enough people think an area should be replaced, then you may go and create a new area to take it's place.
The Abandoned Project is simple concept that I hope will unlease a fury of creativity. I hope you have as much fun exploring (and adding to) this world as I did constructing it.
