About Me

Hello! My name (as I am known online) is Echnaret (or Terance, as I used to be known by). I am a senior at Hope College, and am currently double-majoring in computer science and theatre. I am spending my summer doing a sound internship at Weathervane Playhouse.

In my free time, I like to spend time on such generic procrastination-type websites as Myspace and Facebook. I also like watching flash movies on Newgrounds and reading the comic XKCD.

A few other things about me: I play the piano (a little bit), and I took one semester of private organ lessons. I've done a little bit of playing around with HAM radios (I currently have a technician's license), and I like camping and kayaking. I'm very involved with my college theatre (lighting and sound are my main interest, I do a little bit of acting for the directing classes), and I also frequent the LGBT events there. I would also like to become fluent in Spanish, but I have a feeling that that is more of a dream than reality.

Everything I've learned about HTML, PHP, and CSS up to this point has been self-taught. I took a database course last year, which was incredibly helpful. My focus is usually on the programming aspect (making the website functional), though my desire to make the site look half-decent has driven me to learn a thing or two about CSS. Eventually, I hope to get some decent content on here. For now, though, you'll have to settle for my slew of half-completed projects. ;-)
